How do we deal with loss in Antwerp? The Altar of Antwerp is an interactive installation that reflects on it every year. It is inspired by the relationship between life and death in pre-Columbian cultures in South America and is set up in the MAS in honour of Día de Muertos since 2012. We create the city’s playlist with songs by visitors and Antwerp residents that evoke a memory. Each participant chooses a song and a memory associated with it and adds it to the playlist. The playlist will continue to grow. Read more +
