Campaign for 50 years of diversity in Mechelen in 2014 and continuation of project in 2018.
Fiëbre was commissioned by MMMechelen Feest!, events agency of the City of Mechelen, in 2014 to set up an interactive campaign and some activities for the celebration around 50 years of diversity in Mechelen and to coach their communication.
After a successful project year, there was a desire to continue this project and make it sustainable. In 2018, this became possible with support from the European Fund for Asylum, Migration and Integration and the Flemish Government.
We developed the follow-up: employees from all kinds of Mechelen services are trained to give workshops ‘The people make the city’ and the output of each workshop is that anecdotes, stories of Mechelen residents are added to an online map of Mechelen.
